Welcome to the website of The Old Volks Club, Bristol. Below you will find a little information about the club along with meet locations, membership etc.
History
The OVC was formed in 2007 by a group of likeminded people who share the same passion in life, classic Volkswagens. The club was also started for three main reasons and they were the cars, the owners and to give people the opportunity to get out and use their rides. For this reason we endevour to get the most out of our vehicles by organising cruises, BBQ's and various events throughout the year alongside the many shows we attend.
Club Meets
We currently have monthly club meets, usually the second Sunday of the month at the Starbucks Coffee Shop opposite the entrance to The Aztec West Hotel, where we meet up and chat about not only all things VW but also life in general. Dates for these meets can be found in the Events Section to the right of this page. Even if you're not a member of the club please feel free to come along as it's more the merrier and it'll be great to see you there.

Here's how you become a member of the Old Volks Club.
The basic way we do things for people wanting to join the club is to come along to at least two of the monthly club meets (within 4 months of each other) so you can get to meet us and see what we're like, as a club, before joining up. This also lets you see if the club's right for you and will hopefully give you a small insight into what goes on etc. These meets give people the opportunity to get together, especially outside of the show season, and discuss not only all things VW but just generally catch up with what's been happening. Attending at least two of these meets also shows that you're serious about joining the club and is one of the main reasons we ask for you to come along. At the end of the day we want a club full of active members who want to get out and enjoy their dubs with fellow minded enthusiasts and this was one of the main reasons for us starting the club in 2006. Hopefully you'll see that the OVC is a great platform to allow you to do this.

There is an annual fee to join the club which is £15 per person or £20 per couple/family per year which runs from January to December. People joining later in the year will be worked out on a monthly basis ie. if you join in March you'll pay £15, June £10 (based on couple/family rates) etc, etc but we'll let you know this when you join up what he total is for the year. The money is used to help run the club and go towards things like club banners, gazebos, website fees etc. When you fill out and give us your membership form just give us your membership fee at the same time. You will then be sent your members pack which includes your discount cards, club stickers etc. In addition to this once you've register on the forum, and paid the membership fee, you will be given full access to the clubs forums which includes a general chat, readers rides, tech section and for sale/wanted just to name just a few. In the meantime feel free to use the Waiting Room to chat/post and browse the other sections at your leisure.
If you have any questions or queries don't hesitate to mail me at simonwilliams456@btinternet.com.

So keep an eye on the forum or check out the Events section to the right of this page for the next club meet date and hopefully we'll see you there in the near future.

To celebrate the 5th year of the OVC, and to raise a little money, the OVC members (Pfnar pfnar) have shed their inhibitions and clothes and, with their nether regions blowing in the wind, exposed themselves with dignity in the name of charity. One for the Ladies and one for the Gentlemen of course. Your whole year will be brightened by having members of the OVC hanging out in your front room or kitchen and it's a must for your camper van of course.

The Charity in question is a local Bristol organisation called PROPS Providing Opportunity and Support to children and young people with physical and learning difficulties (www.propsforward.org) . £3 per sale will go to the charity.

Please follow the links below to order your copy and help out a worthwhile cause whilst getting to see your favourite OVC member in a different light.
