2012 marks The Old Volks Clubs 5th anniversary so we have decided to put on a good 'ole VW meet so that everyone can get out their dubs as well as trying to raise a little cash for charity. Everyone's invited (as long as you're in an aircooled V'Dub) as this is an informal meet, very similar to the tried and tested American diner meets, only a little colder!! There will be a couple of buckets going around all morning with all of the money taken going to PROPS and Cancer Research both of which are close to our hearts. This will be a great excuse to dust off the dubs and show what Bristol has to offer with the added incentive of giving a little to charity at the same time so please come along and share the day with us and get 2012 off to a great start.

The North Devon VW Club will once again be putting on it's wonderful little show over the weekend of 21st & 22nd October with the main cruise from the campsite to Woolacombe on Sunday 23rd. For anyone who hasn't done this show it's a really chilled out affair with a few traders, local bands, swapmeet etc. with the added incentive of the sea only 5 minutes away. The show is also for a worthwhile cause and this years chosen charity is the RNLI. No need to pre-book tickets either as it's just a case of turn up and pay on the gate on the day.

This great family event will again be held in the beautiful grounds of Caldicot Castle in Wales and is quickly becoming one of the must do shows of the year for many. There is a really chilled out vibe to the show alongside the usual format (Show and shine, traders etc) making this an ideal, stress free weekend away. This year the organisers will be trying to cater for everyone’s tastes in music with live bands playing on both nights. There will also be acoustic bands playing in prime locations through out the days along with DJ's to keep the party mood going, before and after bands have played each night.

European Bug In is back for the fourth instalment of it’s hugely popular nostalgic VW show in Chimay, Belgium over the weekend of 1st, 2nd and 3rd July. For anyone who is serious about their aircooled vehicles this is one show not to be missed. It has everything you could want over the weekend whether it be top drag racing from Europe’s elite, show cars or parts for pretty much any model you desire they’ll have it all there.
The OVC will be once again hitting the road and making the long trip so if you’re interested let us know and get on board the cruise.

Heritage Bristol Volkswagen Weekend (aka Bristol Volksfest) is a back again at its new home of Washingpool Farm, Easter Compton for another action packed fun weekend for all the family. With this being our local show we have decided to have our second ‘OVC Summer Party’ on the Saturday afternoon & evening with live music and a big BBQ for all members with a few surprises added in! Last years show was brilliant in every respect and hopefully the sun will once again shine for us and make this another memorable weekend for everyone.

Plymouth VolksFest is a unique festival which combines the Volkswagen scene with top quality music and entertainment acts from all over the world. Now into its fourth year the 2011 show promises to be another great event with some top bands booked for the weekend. The show has everything you’d expect with traders and cars for sale although this year the main show and shine competition will be held on Sunday with Saturday dedicated to club displays. Another great addition to 2011 will be the cinema tent. Throughout the weekend it will be screening some well-known films, alongside footage from the 2010 festival. The OVC will once again be in attendance for this and, as last year, club camping will be at a premium so get your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Also keep an eye on the website to see which bands are booked as this is changes day by day pretty much up until the gates open.

Big Bang VW festival in conjunction with Volksworld Camper and Bus magazine is the first and friendliest VW festival on the calendar. Despite high-octane racing and two music arenas, the festival remains as laid-back and family friendly as ever. All Vee Dubs welcome!
Three days of VW fun in the sun with great racing, music and entertainment at the home of European Drag Racing! All Beetles and buses, campers and Caddies, Golfs and Ghias are welcome at the show to enjoy the Run What Ya Brung (RWYB), show & shine, Drag Racing, or simply filling the camp sites with VWs and chilling out.

DubFreeze is an annual Volkswagen event held at Bingley Hall, Staffordshire County Showground, Stafford and is a one day event hosting a significant number of auto and spare parts from sellers within the UK and abroad. Being a winter event most stands and activities are situated indoors in various heated halls, except for vehicles being offered for sale. There is also the added incentive of a show and shine area as well as cars for sale and this is certainly worth the effort to go to if you’re after those elusive parts for that winter project.
